![]() Beginning with a breathtaking view of the Pacific and protected by ocean pines, the Lighthouse is a sanctuary for rest and renewal. Situated on the top floor, the Lighthouse is sheltered by a small grove of shore pines, offering a feeling of privacy and seclusion from the activities below.
A local architect designed this home in concert with the coastal environment and with careful attention to privacy and comfort.
You will find an efficient kitchen area complete with a gas stove, refrigerator, microwave and a Swedish dish drying cabinet. There is everything you need to prepare delicious meals and set a lovely table for dining.
To the right of the living room area is a cozy sleeping alcove with full bed fitted with coordinating day cover, bolsters and pillows and a warm down duvet for cool nights.
There is a private bath with shower/tub combo for soaking after an invigorating beach walk.
Much of the woodworking and cabinetry was custom-built for the Lighthouse by Susan Walsh. Newly redecorated in a fresh "straw hats at the beach" theme, with soft beach sand colors on the walls to reflect the changing moods of the beach and light and wide plank wood flooring.
Owner and designer, Teri Hensen, has included a large comfortable sofa, coordinating day cover, bolsters and pillows for the full sized bed, and a cabinet entertainment center containing flat screen TV/DVD, books, games, binoculars and art supplies for scrap booking in the guest books.
The Lighthouse has comfortable accommodations for two people. An additional first floor oversized bedroom and bathroom with tiled shower is available to accommodate two additional people for $75 per night.
